Novo Metal Finishing Equipment designs and builds multi-barrel plating units ideal for processing precious metal parts, smaller loads, and delicate components. Designed for low—to medium-volume plating lines, these units offer superior performance, flexibility, and reliability. Units are available in dual (tandem) configurations or with 3+ barrels. Multi-platers are available in integrated or tank drive configurations. Multi platers allow for higher efficiencies as it gives you the ability to plate multiple parts in the same load. This reduces costs and increases efficiencies.
The design team at Novo Metal Finishing Equipment has produced multi-platers with 2, 3, 4, and 6 barrels. Our multi-platers are tailored to meet the customer's specific requirements. Our ProKnob Polypropylene barrels feature a cylindrical design and precision perforations, providing a durable, trap-free construction without the need for grooved internal panels.

Center Partition Barrels
An alternative to the Multiplating Barrels is the Novo Metal Finishing line of Center Partition Plating Barrels. Just like the multiplater, the center partition barrel allows you to plate multiple parts in one load. These custom barrels can be made to any size or perf and the two door set up allows you to fill each side of the barrel separately to hold different parts for maximum efficiency. Both sides use the cathode style danglers for even coating of parts. If there is a size difference in parts or need for more or less solution flow, each side can have different perforation sizes.

Increased Barrel Life
Our single-body ProKnob Polypropylene barrel is one of the most durable designs in the industry. The extrusion welding on the ends is more durable than traditional hand-welding. The tight hole pattern's increased drainage and elimination of fluid catch points allow the barrel to be used for more cycles. -
Increased Plating Quality
Our barrels are fabricated with ProKnob Polypropylene to reduce material catching, eliminate material nesting, and increase current flow. Our single-body, thermally bent barrels are extrusion welded to the ends, creating a seamless internal space and eliminating catch points for fluid to collect. We use the highest quality materials that are the most durable and reliable in the industry. -
Reduced Process Cost
Novo MFE barrels are made-to-order for exact system fit, eliminating design retrofits, process compromises, or extra manufacturing workarounds. The seamless internal body reduces drag-out and the frequency of wastewater changeover. The textured interior reduces material sticking and creates a more even coating. The multiplaters allow for plating of multiple parts lowering costs and increasing efficiencies.
